2016 Jeep Compass - Plans
You can now choose to add the package to Altitude Jeep Compass models with either FWD or AWD. If you choose the automatic AWD, you can also add in the "high altitude" Paquet. This package comes standard with a nice leather interior, sunroof, 18-inch wheels and a driver seat six-way power adjustment. Rugged Brown of latitude to fall and Eco Green should be used instead.
All vehicles in the range have a standard 2.4L engine. Your transmission is automatic and has five or six speeds. You can choose wheels 16 inches in diameter to 18 inches in diameter. The Uconnect 430 comes standard with both a DVD and CD player. It is MP3 and hard drive ready. This function keeps the kids busy while you get on with conducting business. The display of the touch screen reaches 6.5 inches and offers, among other features, parking assistance. Your audio controllers are integrated into the steering wheel - makes it easier to adjust the volume or stations without taking your eyes off the road. The steering wheel is leather-wrapped. SiriusXM Satellite Radio is standard. You also get a one year subscription. Anti-lock brakes and wheel brake assist is standard with all models.
2016 Jeep Compass Engine and performance
All models feature the same 2.4L 16-valve dual VVT - 6-speed transmission is available on all models except the Sport. It is standard with the latitude and the altitude models. You can add optional with others.
You can expect about 28 miles per gallon on highways. This model is said to perform better on paved roads, but can still handle the snow, sand, mud and rock with ease. Fuel economy will drop under these conditions, however.
This model will be available from 2015 and is due to be phased out in the middle of 2016, Chrysler is trying to do its streamlined production lines. The Patriot is also said to be on the block at this time.
It is said that these models will be replaced by the new fellow C-SUV. While not much is known about the new design, he believes that it will offer the same 2.4L engine and will probably run on diesel. Speculation is that it will provide a roomier interior and softer lines. Chrysler is working with Fiat on the new model.
2016 Jeep Compass Price
Expect to start $ 20,995 for the base model Sport.
The altitude will cost about $ 22,990.
The Latitude will cost about $ 24,895.
The high altitude - starts at 25 $ 990.
The Limited FWD - upper end of the range starts at 26 $ 195.
If you want to add all-wheel drive, you can expect to add another $ 2,000 above the price listed above.
